Aimed at current or prospective ex-racehorse or thoroughbred owners. This clinic aims to get to the heart of these wonderful horses.
Often seen as a cheap investment these athletes can end up less than perfect partners. So if you are thinking of, or do own one that you need help with this will be time well spent. Lynn has experienced the joys and challenges or owning racehorses and retraining them. Through this clinic she aims to help you understand what they know, what they need to unlearn and how best to help them do this. Following a welcome coffee and introductions we will look at racehorse behaviour and experiences utilising video analysis and lots of group discussion. The morning with conclude with practical tips on handling, achieving softness with attention and great foot control. Following lunch we will emerse ourselves in hands on work with the ex-racehorses Lynn owns and those that have come along for the day. We will put on a fun challenge at the end of the day to put your new skills to the test.
You will need warm clothing, suitable footwear and hard hat for horse work, full tack if you wish to work with and ride your own horse. Places are limited so do book early.
